I know we're four years out from your question, but here's the answer.

Lancaster, and Paint Lick, were in Lincoln County in 1793. Garrard was created mostly from Lincoln in 1797.

The only real "movement" that is shown by the census is the 1860, moving John to Crab Orchard.
