Original size of Lincoln Co

One of my ancestors marched with George Rogers Clark out of Ft. Nelson (Now Louisville). I have found a marriage record of May 12, 1786 (probably a second marriage for him, because he has children born before then) for him, James Ramsey, and Elizabeth Lemon in Lincoln Co, KY. Seems like a long way to go to get married, as I suspect that there were pastors closer to Louisville.

Ergo, Did Lincoln Co extend to Louisville at the time?
