LEE's of Lincoln County, Kentucky

Brick Wall! Trying to find ancestors of my Francis Marion LEE, b. 22 Apr 1825 Danville, Lincoln Co, KY.

This Francis married Ellen Thomas BLAIN (b. 17 Nov 1829, Houstonville, Lincoln Co, KY). They were married 26 Oct 1847 in Rowland, Lincoln Co, KY. Their children were Lucy, Jennie, Elizabeth, Osborn (oldest), James Henry (my line), Martha Ann, and Nellie, and Sophia.

Sometime after 1850 Census the family moved to Fannin Co, Texas. Francis enlisted 6 Jul 1861 in Cptn. Hugh Wallace's Co., 14th Brigade, Texas Cavalry. Francis d. 2 Mar 1890, in Honey Grove, Fannin Co, TX, and is buried at Main Street Presbyterian Church. Ellen d. 18 Jan 1888, Honey Grove, Fannin Co, TX. Most of these children remained near Fannin COunty, some moved to Citra, IT/OK.

Based on Lincoln Co census proximities of these, neighboring, and Blain families I believe Francis Marion LEE's father to be a Richard H (prob Henry) LEE, b. 1803 in KY. but I can't find wills, land or probate on this Richard LEE family. Might also be related to the Abraham P Lee Sr. family of Lincoln Co, KY.

Any leads or connections would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Andrw Russell Hawks
