Re Malinda Rasnick Reynolds
Malinda Rasnick married Henry Reynolds , they are my Great great great grandparents. As far as all their children etc. I do not have at my fingertips, but one of their children was John Reynolds and he married Minerva Thompson in Wythe County, Va. John was reportly killed in the Civil War and Minvera married her father-in-law Henry in Scott County, Va. John returned from the Civil War and divorced Minerva after the fact of her marriage to Henry. When Henry remarried he gave his parents names but as I said earlier I do not have these records handy, they are in storage and there is noway for me to get at them right now. Henry had two children by Minvera, Prudence and Dow. A second cousin of mine remembered seeing both Minvera and John after 1910. She descibed Minvera as tall, slim, with red hair and she smoked a corn cob pipe. John she described as tall with white hair and a full white beard. Minvera lived in Scott County in an area called Pattonsville and John last lived on the mountain in what is called Fairview VA. Where Henry lived is an area off of Purchase Ridge called Kingdom Road. There is a house on Kingdom called the old Hen Reynolds place. It is a two story white farm house. My great grandmother Louise Reynolds Lane purchased the house and land after my mother was born in 1924. I can not tell you who owns the house now but it is currently empty. (Lousia was the daughter of John and Minerva) She married Samuel Patton Lane in 1879.
This might help you a little on Henry, if you have any questions email me at otisone@charter.net
