William Clarence Adams

My great grandfather was William Clarence Adams ( not sure about the first name William). He was married to Sarah Hall/Hohl. Sarah is said to have immigrated from Germany. I have heard that Clarence was a mine foreman. He would have been born around 1860 or so and I believe died in 1922. They ended up in Pike Co. close to the W.Va. border of the Tug River.
I have not been able to find any more. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Cora
