Nancy had 8 children and was never married. She fathered children by at least 3 men. My father's granddad was Owen Elkins who married Margaret Ison. They lived on Shelby Gap, Ky until Owen's feet became frost-bit from delivering mail via horseback. He sold his mineral rights as well as his farm in Pike Co., KY and moved to George's Fork, VA.
