Looking for information on King's in the areas of Floyd, Letcher and Knott Counties.

Lewis Wright aka King b. abt. 1800 VA
m. 1832 in Floyd, KY, Edith Flanery.

children of Lewis & Edith Flanery King:

*Tandy L. b. 183_ m. 1854, Letcher,KY
Francis "Fanny" Harris b. 1832

*Wilson b. abt 1833

*Elizabeth Jane b. abt 1836

*James King b. 1839 m. Sarah "Sally" Bates

*Margaret Peggy b.abt 1842 - Margaret had a son named Elhannon b. abt 1867 prior to her marriage to Henry Triplett (brother-in-law of Talton Hall). There is a Stacy Asberry age 35 b.TN shown on the 1870 Floyd,KY census living in the household with Margaret and her parents and sister. Could this be the father of Elhannon? Elhannon is not shown on the census yet in the 1880 Knott is is found as 13 yrs.

*Rebecca b. abt 1845

*Adeline b. 1855

I have some more information on Tandy, James and Margaret. Nothing on the others.

Would love to find the parentage of Lewis Wright aka King. Lewis married as a Rite (Wright) is found on most Census as King and is found on the 1860 Floyd, KY census as a Remy. His married son Tandy also is found as a Remy in 1860.

Any information on this family, their ancestors or descendants would be appreciated.

Thank you, Deronda Phipps phippsder@earthlink.net
