So, has your mom passed away? I do remember that you were in the marching band. I had English with Mrs. Looney, Algebra with Mrs. Eversole, Home-Ec with Miss Byers (Carol was this class), History with coach Burton and was Paul Dotson the band director at that time? I had him in Chorus but I think not freshman year. I didn't have 3 dollars in those days to buy a yearbook so ... all I have is the yearbook from my Sr. year.
I had thought your dad was in the military and at one time overseas. My mom passed away three years ago and she had a steel trap for a memory, mine unfortunately waxes and wanes. This is Thursday. On Friday I will go to the local library, log onto Ancestry.com (where it is free) and see if I can pull up the dc for Carol. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. You can directly contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org any time you want to bypass this site. I live about 40 miles from Lexington, KY. I have been here 35 years now. Interestingly, this man I married was the grandson of a butcher who worked in the McRoberts Meat Market back in the 1920s. My mother-in-law was born at McRoberts. Were not Wanda Phillips, Ronnie Potter and Charlene Martin all having funerals at the same time as Carol's? I thought I went to visitation for all four either in the same week or maybe the same day. They were the three killed the night of Jr./Sr. banquet during the first year of integration of the schools when parents petitioned the school board to do away with the prom since there might be trouble. The prom was back the next year.
