My ancestor, Stephen "Rockhouse" Adams was b. 1779 Wilkes Co., NC and married Mary Webb b. 1775 Surry Co., NC. One of their daughters, Lucy Adams b. 1818 Rockhouse, Floyd Co., KY was another ancestor of mine.

Stephen was reported in one book to have died in Letcher Co., KY and to have been buried in "Floyd Cemetery". Can anyone tell me where Floyd Cemetery actually is and if there is a headstone for this Stephen Adams, please?

Mary Webb's father, James Webb, reportedly as Aide-de-Camp for George Washington at the Battle of White Plains, died in Letcher Co., KY and I think is buried at Oven Fork Cemetery. Is there a headstone visible today? Does anyone have info on James's wife, Letty Nelson? I think James Webb's father was John Webb. Jr. b. about 1695 Gloucester Eng m. Mary Boone, daughter of George Boone III a relative of Abraham Lincoln. I think Mary may be his aunt. I have no info on Letty Nelson's parents.

Was Stephen Adam's father, John Hobbs Adams, Jr. buried at Letcher Co., KY or Floyd Co., KY, please? This John was b. 1747 Fairfax, Va & d. 29 Jan. 1815. Was it at Pine Creek, and if so, where is that? This John's wife was Nancy Caudill who d. Roaring River, Wilkes Co., NC. Her father was a Benjamin Caudill, but I have little info about this Benjamin.
