Hi,
There was a Fanny Wright that married a John D. "Jeans" or Janes, living in Lincoln county, Missouri, in 1850.
Just below them, on the same page, is Joseph and Sally Jeans.
This interests me because, my great-grandfather, Erasmus D. Jaynes was the son of a Joseph Jaynes(sometimes,Janes, James, Jeans) On Erasmus' death certificate, they state that his father, Joseph, was born in Whitesburg.
I can't find Joseph in the 1860 census. I don't find sally either. My Joseph married Talitha East Plummer in 1859. Talitha had been married before and I don't know if Joseph had been married before. I was hoping maybe so... to Sally. I have seen a tree listing John and Fanny's children and they don't list Joseph.
I just have to believe that Joseph Jeans was his son or some sort of relative because they are listed together on the same page in the 1850 census.
In any case, I hope that you have found your Fanny Wright by now. I do believe that it is she in the 1850 census in Troy, Missouri. I believe one of her brothers was a preacher there. I believe I have seen his death listed there. Thanks for reading all of this! Didi Muir
