Mavis Marie Stamper 90, wife of George Stamper Jr, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at the Kentucky River Medical Center, Jackson Ky
Mavis was born in Lee County KY on June 11, 1917, to the late Green and Clara (Norman) Marshall. She was a home maker, farmer and a big fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats.
Along with her husband of 73 years, she was the beloved mother of two sons. Wilburn (Shirley) of Beattyville KY and Mitchell (Geraldine) of South Lyon, MI. Nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one sister Grace Marshall of Kansas; and a host of friends and relatives.
Besides her parents, Mavis was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services were July 28, 2007 at the Booneville FuneralHome Chapel with the Rev Jack Short officiating. Burial was in the Stamper Cemetery, Beatyville KY>
