Dear Roger:
I was doing some research for a friend and ran into this Samuel 'Sammy' Ferguson - boy, what a character! I found a bunch of stuff about him on gencircles and there are a gazillion matches for him. The four children I found with Elizabeth Osburn were Sarah b.Dec 1841, Samuel S. b.1836, Perlina b.1833 and Thomas D. b.1841. Submitters had all kinds of birth places for these kids, but you might go to gencircles and do a search for yourself. One reference was made to a book "The Fergusons: In Lawrence County, Kentucky...." by Evelyn Massie. Another stated he and Elizabeth never married. Another stated he filed for divorce from Patsy Stephenson and stated her maiden name was Stevens and that she had left their home about 1826-1827. Good Luck!
