Hi, I am looking for any info on William Hunter. Born in eastern KY around 1857. He first married a Martha C. then married Alice Farley in Lawrence Co. KY. This is my ggg grandfather. I am descended from his daughter Sarah Hunter.From what I can find there was two generations born out of wedlock, my great grandmother and my grandmother. My grandmother died in 2006 not knowing any family at all. The info that I have on William is this:
in 1900 in was living in lawrence co with wife Alice and daughters sarah, emma, and rosa. Then in the 1910 census he was still in lawrence co living with wife Alice and daughters Rosa, emma, iona, lizzie and sarah. Also in the house is Mary B. my great grandmother. Then in 1920 he has moved to Rush, Carter co. ky with wife Alice and daughters Sarah, Emma, Rosa, and Lizzie. Also there is a daughter listed as Andie. I believe this to actually be a boy. The odd thing is though that my great grandmother is not listed. She would have only been 10. I have also found a death certificate for a john hunter who lists his father as william hunter and his mother as alice farley. I have never found him on the census though. He died in 1941 in lawrence co, ky. I know that one daughter, Iona Hunter, married a George Lambert. But that is all the info that I have. If anyone could please help me that would be great.
