I am very sorry if I am confusing any one , with all of the Allen Hicks that I have found in my own family it has been very confusing to me, now I have it all straight.Jessee Caswell Hicks my gg grandfather is the father of Allen Hicks my g grandfather.in other words. Jessee Caswell Hicks's father #(1)Allen Hicks #(2.)Allen Hicks his brother #(3.)Allen Hicks his son. It's a very hard job to go back into the 1700's-1800's to find your grandparents when there is no family Bible that you know of to go by. I had heard that Jessee Caswell Hicks was my g g grandfather and he really is, but when I came across so many Allen Hicks I made a mistake I didn't realize that jessee had a brother Allen named after their father. Then he named one of his sons Allen. takes some thinking right??
