Jessie caswell(CAS) Hicks And wife Matilda Rose Hicks my aunt who is still alive and well laughs when we ask her which cas Hicks is our grandpa.She says there is quite a few of them but she does know which one is ours. our J.C.'Cas'Hicks married Matilda Rose. They had a son named Allen Hicks who married Rachel Weaver. Allen & Rachel had the following children 1.Isaac Hicks my grandfather. He was killed in a coal mine accident in 1925 in Harlan Co Ky. 2. Leander Hicks 3.Isabelle Hicks 4.Charles George Hicks 5.Joseph Henry Hicks 6.Eliah (ELI)Hicks. I hope This will clear up some of the confusion for some of My other kin who are searching for their roots My grandfather Isaac Jackson Hicks was the grandson of Sarah Ann Jackson who married Russell Weaver. I never got to meet my Mothers parents as they both died young, but I did meet my great uncle ELI he lived on the Laurel-Clay co line. my grandmother was Della Hampton Hicks The daughter of George W. Hamption And Alice Barnett Hampton WE are descendants of Ruben Jackson.
