Jess Wilson -- When They Hanged the Fiddler

Jess Wilson fans have something to cheer about. Jess’ classic “When They Hanged the Fiddler” is now back in print. Acclaimed by famed Kentucky historian Dr. Thomas Clark as well as countless southeast Kentucky readers since it was first published in 1978, “Fiddler” is probably the most beloved book ever written about the common and not-so-common folk of Clay, Jackson, Owsley and Laurel counties.

Read it for entertainment, or as “a rich documentary note to local history,” as Dr. Clark wrote in his foreword to the book.

The new paperback edition is on sale at the Clay County Public Library ($17.00). It may also be ordered on-line at www.lulu.com/content/1088272 or from Jess himself at:

294 Possum Trot Road
