I need details about a murder trial that, I am told, took place in Knox County during the 1870s (possibly 1878). Apparently there was a change of venue from Whitley County, KY where the murder took place. David Adkins murdered his sister-in-law, Margaret Adkins. I am getting bits of information from here and there but having a hard time putting it all together. I have been told that it was a shooting but someone else implied it was a rather brutal knife attack. I am told that David Adkins' son, William, and his cousin, George Faulkner, discovered the body and went to town to summon help. I REALLY need to know the approximate age of David's son William (he MAY be my great grandfather) but have not been able to pin this down. Any information at all would be helpful, though, and much appreciated.
