Iím trying to obtain these two items.
The book, Michael C. Mills, "Barbourville, Kentucky: A Pictorial Look Back" (1977) contains a photo on the bottom of page 69, Seventh Grade Barbourville Graded School, 1913 with my father, 4th from left on the back row. Our family has only one picture of him as a child, and it is for this reason Iím seeking a copy of this particular book. I already have a copy of Mills later book, Barbourville & Knox County, Kentucky (Images of America) (Arcadia Publishing 2000). Unfortunately, this later book does not include the Barbourville Graded School picture Iím trying to find.
The print, "The 'Ole' Barbourville Train Station" by Pat Banky (1981), shows the old railroad depot. My paternal grandfather worked for the railroad out of Barbourville in the early part of the 1900s, and it would be something special to have a copy of this print, not just for myself, but to pass along to my oldest son. He has the same name as my grandfather, as do my father and myself.
If you know anyplace that has copies of either of these items for sale, or anyone who would be willing to sell their copies, I would be most appreciative if you would advise me how to get in touch with them. Alternatively, Iíll provide you with my contact information that you can pass along to them.
Iíd be grateful for any help.
