Buck Gayheart first families in Knott

Softshell, Kentucky Post Office
Before the SoftShell Post Office was opened,
the people of the area received their mail at the
Yellow Mountian Post Office and at the Hindman
Post Office.
       The families of this area included the family of
Wes Hicks, Byrant Moore, John Ramey, John L. Triplett,
T. Thomas, Will Collins, John Owens, Elijah Combs,
Andy Smith, Rank Bolen, Buck Gayheart, Ed Gamble,
Dave Conley, Jasper Owens, Jake Sturgill, Johnny
Bill Patton, Bobby Slone, Nathan Bolen, Billy Green,
Saul Slone, and Sam Ramey. These were the early
Many of their children or grandchildren continue to
live in
The Soft Shell Post Office closed in 1983. Essie
Gayheart Howard
was the postmaster after Sarah T. Slone.

was,and might tell lots more about Buck Gayhart and his family who is my great, great, grandpa, and any pictures would be greatly appreciated of Buck Gayheart and his entire family., cause I love photos and this is my Gayhart direct family member.
