Thomas-Kerby Family of Jackson County
Posted by: Charles Thomas (ID *****2604) Date: March 21, 2003 at 15:48:30

I am researching the Thomas family from Madison, Clark and Jackson Counties in Kentucky. My gggranfather David Lee Thomas had a brother Andrew Jackson Thomas b. 12/12/1872 d. 9/09/1957 married to Agnes Neely
b. 11/6/1882 and died 11/27/1966, and a sister Mary "Mollie" b. 8/15/1876 d. 10/31/1958 married to Flemon Kerby b. 7/10/1874 and died 7/18/1963. They were all farmers who lived in Cavanaugh Precinct of Jackson County. May have lived near Kerby Knob as they are all buried in Kerby Knob Baptist Church Cemetery in Kerby Knob.
The children I have listed for Andrew and Agnes are James b. 2/22/1903, John Raymond b. 7/5/1916, Zachariah b. 12/1897, William b. June 1899, Davis N. b. abt. 1903, Floyd b. abt. 1906 and Myrtle b. abt. 1908.
The children for Flemon and Mollie are Sarah M. b. abt. 1897, Maude Anne b abt. 1900, Charles b. abt. 1903, Myrtle b. abt. 1906, Stanley b. abt. 1908 and William L. b. abt. 1909. I would be interested in making contact with any relatives from Jackson County. My gg grandfather moved to Illinois about 1909, he had a sister and a brother in Illinois, all other relatives lived in Kentucky. I have quit a bit of information on the Thomas's from Illinois, but not Kentucky. You can contact me at cbkthomas@ivnet.com or Charles Thomas, 309 South Main Street, Ohio, Illinois 61349. Thanks, Charlie
