Looking for information on Sharp family members who lived in Henry County. They were in Henry County by 12 Jul 1817 when they signed a deed conveying property in Virginia. Isaac Sharp Isaac N. Sharp appears in the 1840 census for Henderson County (p 263, line 9), next to his brother-in-law John Kelly. Isaac was listed as age 50 to 60, the same age as he had given in 1830 in Henry County. The combined 1810 and 1820 census returns place his birth between 1775 and 1784. Isaac married Susannah Fitz on or about 2 Nov 1805 in Albemarle County, VA. He left Albemarle County in 1816 and was in Henry Co., KY, by 12 Jul 1817. He had one son for certain, born 1806-1810. (A male under 5 in the 1830 census likely was a grandson.) Census data show a daughter born 1806-1810, two daughters born 1810-1820, and two females and likely daughters born 1820-1825. Susannah appears to have been living in 1830, but is not reported in 1840. Frances S. Sharp John Kelly married Isaac's (probably younger) sister Frances S. Sharp some time before 12 Jul 1817. He appears in the 1810 census for Henry county with two males under 10, and his and Frances's birthdates are 1775-1784. In 1820, they showed 9 children. John Sharp He was married on or about 4 Mar 1812 in Henry county to a Rachel Wallace. Born 1775-1784. Mary (Polly) Sharp Mary Sharp was unmarried 12 Jul 1817, but in Henry County with her siblings when she executed the deed (thus over 21). One Polly Sharp married on or about 18 Nov 1822 in Henry County, one John Thomas. A John Thomas appears in the 1830 census (p 283), age 60 to 70, with 2 males 20 to 30, and 4 males under age 20. The eldest female was 30 to 40, with 5 females between 5 and 20. A John W. Thomas appears at page 316, line 26. Both he and the eldest female were 30 to 40, with a younger female 20 to 30 and a male under 5. Elizabeth Sharp Elizabeth Sharp married Jacob Razor on or about 18 Oct 1791 in VA. Thomas B. Sharp He stayed in Virginia through 1817 to sell the land and then moved to KY.
