I am also working on the Edgar line. Jane Edgar Harris was the sibling of Elizabeth Edgar Hicks. I've been unable to find a marriage record for her and James P. Harris. I wonder if the private transcription you refer to mentions Jane or if you see a death or marriage record for her in the microfilm. I feel she married near the time of Elizabeth Edgar. She moved to Grayson Co, KY with her husband. I lose track of her after 1880--don't know if she remarried or if she died by the 1900 census.
