Birth, Death, and Marriage Records for the State of Kentucky were recorded (of course, many records were not recorded) for the time period from about 1852 to about 1860 and then again from about 1874 to about 1879 (the availability of these records vary from county to county, but the available records are available on microfilm from the Kentucky Dept. of Libraries & Archives in Frankfort). The current law for the recording for Births & Deaths for the state of Kentucky began in 1911. Right now, the death certificates for the state of Kentucky are available (on microfilm & also on ANCESTRY.com--as I understand it--from 1911-1956). Good Luck.
