Ray Beckett of Harrison County, KY

Beckett researchers from Harrison County, KY have told me that they have found no evidence that Ray Beckett ever existed. Yet this past weekend, acting on a tip, I visited the grave of Ray Beckett and his wife, Rosa, in the Sunrise Cemetary at the Sunrise community in Harrison County, KY...next to the headstone for "father" John Beckett, and surrounded by numerous other Beckett graves.

So Ray Beckett DID exist...so why can't I get any information about him? Was he the "black sheep" of the family? Was he a murderer? Thief? Drunkard/alcoholic? Was he insane? (I base this question on the knowledge that both he and his wife died at Eastern State Hospital...and I know that Central State Hospital in KY was primarily a mental institution.)

So what's the deal? Why won't anyone acknowledge Ray Beckett?
