My name is Millard Girard (Jerry) Kelly and my branch of the family is as follows:
Lawrence Kelly - who seems to have emigrated here from the Isle of Mann in the Irish Sea somewhere between 1740 and 1746.
John Patrick Kelly
Jonathan Kelly - the last relative I have concrete evidence for.
Jonathan Kelly Jr.
William Kelly
Wright Kelly
Millard Kelly - whom my father and I are named after.
Burnis Kelly - went to West Point then career army taking my branch out of Harlan County.

If anyone is interested I have quite a few old, old photos of the Kelly clan and a few of the Lewis family. I am in the process of scanning them right now. I would be happy to forward copies of all. If you are aware of any old Kelly pictures I would be extremely interested in reproductions (scans, digital photos, regular photos of photos - it doesn't matter, any copies would be priceless to me).
I also have a copy of the genealogy "Descendants of Jonathan Kelly"
put together in 1972 by Bee Wilson Holmes. I am attempting (without much luck yet) to digitize it to send to all my (and perhaps distantly your) cousins.
If you have any pictures or info relating to the Kelly line I would love to see them. I have been, in particular, searching for any photos of portraits of William Kelly, Jonathan Kelly Jr. and those before.
Also, any information, especially photos, about the area they were from (Harlan County and Dryden(t) Va.), possible old homesteads or gravesites or directions to such information, would be greatly appreciated.
We have begun talking about a family reunion in or around Evarts in Harlan Co. (Neither myself or any of my 1rst cousins have ever been there) Any links to relatives still in the area would be amazing!
