Lee Frank Payton/Peyton was born December 12, 1871, in Kentucky, to Andrew J. Peyton/Payton (aka Jack, Jackson, or John) and Martha J. Gifford (probably Ironton, Ohio). Does anyone know if Greenup County had birth records back that far? I've been able to obtain Lee's siblings' records in Lawrence County, Ohio, for that far back. I'm just guessing that Lee would have been born in Boyd or Greenup County, being across the river from Ironton.
Also, I'm looking for any Peyton/Payton related family in that area.
Can anyone help me?
