stone masons
Posted by: Richard Pratt (ID *****9866) Date: October 18, 2004 at 06:47:04

This past weekend, I traversed portions of Greenup County, finding the graves of my G-G-G-Grandfather in Argillite, and My G-G-G-G-GrandUncle on the old Liberty Farm, near Lynn.
One death date was 1855, and the other was 1849, respectively. The stones were perfectly legible. Both had an inscription in the lower right hand corner from the stone mason. The inscription was "H. R. Charlesworth, Ports'm O."

Does anyone know of this stone mason, or any related history about him?
Thank you,
Richard Pratt
