Larry thanks for the response. I found out that Steven Short was hanged 19 Jan 1855 in Greenup County, Kentucky for the murder of my GGGrandfather who was 26 at the time. Short and William Haney shot Andrew Barr McFarland in the back as he was leaving an area on his horse. Andrew left a wife and two children. Short ran to Haverhill, Ohio and hid in his brother-in-laws house untill Sheriff Van Bibber was notified by Shorts brother-in-law where he was at. I did find some of the court records. Thanks again.
