Samuel W. Birch 1870 Resident

Just found a 1870 census and my gr gr grandfather and family are there. He and Margaret HOUNSHELL were married in Lawrence Co., Ohio in Aug. 1861. I think maybe Margaret and the three oldest children died there in Greenup Co. somethime shortly after the 1870 census. The second family shows up after 1876. Does anyone know of these two names. On Samuel's death certificate his father is listed as James and his mother as QUINN or GUINN. Thanks for any help.
Connie Ludwig
