Portsmouth Times Saturday January 21, 1882 - After Sixty Wedded Years, An Aged Couple Called Home Together. Mrs. Hilica Anderson, residing on White Oak Creek, about three miles from Springville, Ky., died Thursday morning at five o'clock from old age. She was in her eighty-third year. James Anderson, her husband, died at eight o'clock of the evening of the same day, from internal injuries received about six weeks ago and the excitement caused by the death of his life partner. He was aged ninety years. The aged couple had lived together as man and wife for over sixty years, and had occupied their present residence for fifty years. The burial will take place in the family burying ground tomorrow at 11 o'clock.
