I am trying to determine whether my g-grandfather, William Hendrick Graham (1831-1914) was related to any of the Graham/Grayham families who were in Green Co. in the early-mid 1800s. He gave KY as his birthplace but I have no information about his parents or siblings. My William came to CA in 1852. There is a William of the right age in the 1850 census, but there is not a father in the family. There is at least one tree on line which claims his father was Felix Garrison Graham (William named one of his sons "Freeborn Garrison") and another which claims his father was James Graham in Franklin County.

Does anyone have verified information about the various Graham families you would be willing to share, or suggestions where I might look (I've tried the obvious ones of census records and the card catalog on

Thank you for any help you can provide.
