KNOW all men by these presents that we, Reubin Clark and William Lile, are held and duty bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the sum of L50 (50 pounds)the payment of which well and truly to be made to the said Commonwealth, we bind ourselves, our heirs jointly and severally firmly by these presents, sealed and dated this 25th day of January, 1825.
The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound Reubin Clark is about to obtain a license for a marriage intended between himself and Delily Lile. Now if there be no lawful cause to obstruct said marriage then this obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue. Reuben Clark (seal) William Lile (seal)
