I am researching my Smith/Perkins family in Grayson County. Jordan Smith was married to Nancy Logsdon, she may have been married to a Williams prior, as in the 1860 census, it shows a 12 year old James A. Williams, the same age as Larkin, a son of Jordan. Also, I am believing he had been married before also. 1860 Census/Millerstown/Grayson Co/Ky Jordan Smith, aged 63, b. Ky Nancy Logsdon, aged 56, b. Ky Alda, aged 22 Armtetia, aged 17 Rebecca, aged 14 Larkin, aged 12 James A. Williams, aged 12 William S. Smith, aged 25 All of Ky birth. My gggrandfather, Jordan's son, was Andrew Jackson Smith and was living in Cannelton, Perry Co, Indiana, that same year. I am supposing that there are others who have left home. Jordan participated in the Mexican War of 1836. Andrew Jackson was in the 35th Reg. Co G. during the Civil War. He was married 3 times: Rosannah Perkins, Idella Haycraft, and Mary Elizabeth Hawkins. Children with Rosannah: Theodore "Thee" Harmon Monteval, Ada Belle, David Larkin, Andrew Thomas, Rosa E, and Cora Emily (my gr.grandmother). Children with Idella: Andrew Jackson, JR. and Martha J. Children with Mary Elizabeth: William Andrew, Ella Bell, St. Clair Montese, and two children that died before birth. I have not been able to find anything for Idella Haycraft and little on Rosannah, except for her parents. If you are researching this group, please contact me. Thank you.
