Not related, just did some lookups for you in books I have that list Graves Co. KY Marriages from 1881 thru 1899.
1. From the book, "Graves Co. KY Marriage Records", Volume Two, Misc and Newspapers to 1887:
The marriage of Willie A. Gordon (bride) to R. P. WILLIAMS was reported in the newspaper dated November 5, 1881.
(note - Robert P. Williams and wife Willie A. (born June 1863) are on the 1900 census of Graves Co. with several children)
The marriage of a groom, H. G. Chapman, to M. J. SUTHERLAND was reported in the newspaper dated October 12, 1887
(could this be Harvey ??? 1870 census shows his name as Harvey G.)
2. Could Mary Ann have died by 1891?
From the book, "Graves Co. KY Marriages, 1887 - 1893"
A groom, J. W. CHAPMAN (of age), married S. E. THOMPSON March 9, 1891 at the bride's residence in the presence of Oceola Moore and James A. Albritton.

Cannot find any of your other Gordon or Chapman names in the marriage records for the 1880s and 1890s.
