Thanks Barbara! I do have the the information you posted but I am very happy to have your reply. Lee has helped our family for over twenty years, since our oldest daughter started a genealogy project for 4-H. We found Lee's original search material in the Dry Ridge Library.

I have been working the Indiana connection for John since he lists that as his birth place. Lee and I are part of the Osborn DNA project and know that we are related thru Benjamin Osborn of Maryland. Lee has the link posted on Osborne Origins if you are interested. Lee knows his line all the way back. I only know our lineage until John born in 1832 and that is the mystery.

What Lee's research ondicates John is from the Eli Osborn line because of the movement pattern. I have made two trips to Vedersburg, Indiana where Eli lived his final days and found many Osborns lived there at that time. There is a historical church named Osborn Prarie Depot Church built in 1838 that could well be part of the answer. We know Eli died in White County north of Vedersburg while visiting his son. The Osborn's moved as the land opened and moved often.

Thank you again. Jed
