I am looking for the family of John Miller from Garrard Co KY, who moved to Howard CO MO in the early 1800s, and became Governor of Missouri about 1826. I suspect this man had a sister back in Garrard CO KY, who was married to a John Wilds. This is because Robert Wilds, neighbor of John Miller, in 1828, named his first-born son (after nine daughters!) John Miller Wilds. John Miller's 1846 Will left 100 acres of land in Pike CO IL to John Miller Wilds.

The John Wilds I am chasing was from MD, were at least a few of his children (John Jr, Benjamin, and Robert) were born. There was a daughter Ruth who married Charles Swope Sr. Because of wide spacing between John Wilds' older and younger children, I suspect a second wife was involved. John Wilds died about 1818 in Garrard CO KY. Happy to add more, if this information is helpful!
