Hi,
I have some information and was wondering if there is a family connection.
My 4th ggrandmother was Rebecca Sword, who married in this area (now Green Co.) in 1812. She might have been Henry's sister. I believe her to have been the daughter of Henry Sword and Elizabeth Cummins who lived in the area.
A researcher who is since deceased also told me that there was a relationship to Rebecca and a family named 'Dye' who were Cherokee Indians, apparently. Unfortunately, she died before we could get all this straightened out. But some of the names you listed like 'Dyehouse' and 'Tongate' sound like Anglicized Indian surnames.
Anyway, I'd like to share info if you're interested.
Thanks------ERIC
