My Jackson line begins with Patrick Jackson (bef 1625 – 1698) of Merchant’s Hope, Charles City County Virginia, to Thomas T. Jackson (1686 – 1765) to Joshua Jackson (? 1797) to Elsathon “Elsey” Jackson (abt 1774 – died after 1822) to James Jackson (1803-aft 1870) to William Riley Jackson in Rockcastle County, Kentucky (1823 or 1826/27 – 1884?) to John James Delaware Jackson (1866 - 1911) to Elmer Jackson (1893 – 1952) to Warren Jackson (1920 - 2010). Joshua lived & died in Franklin County before it became Gallatin. James, William Riley, and John James Delaware Jackson later lived in Gallatin County. Thomas was an overseer of roads. On Nov 23, 1758, Joshua Jackson and brother William Jackson added to gang to work Dundee Road, and more road work in 1763. Elsathon was a chain-carrier for a surveyor.
