My g-g-Grandfather JAMES SMITH was born in ky. abt1825.He was married to NANCY McCOY and they had three children: 1-ZERILDA Dob.1844 2-SINIA E.Dob.1846 3-JAMES SMITH Dob.1847.(my grandfather). James Smith sr.died in 1852 in Warsaw,Gallatin Co.His Widow Nancy re-married to a DANIEL BROWN same year(Dec.1852).I am attempting to find who parents of James Smith(1825)were. Info in will and estate sale of property at his death indicate that a JACOB SMITH and MILLIE DEAN are possibly his parents.1850 Gallatin Co. census lists Jacob and milly with three children.1-LUCINDA Dob.1820,2-ANDREW B.Dob.1823,Mary Dob.1844.The same 1850 census lists James and Nancy and their three children living quite close to Jacob and Milley. I would love to hear from any ancestor of Jacob and Milley Smith that may have info that may help.
