I am starting with a family of Sidney, James, Mattie, William and Smith Noel.They were born between 1870 and 1881. Smith was born 1881 in Owen County, Ky; his wife was Bertha Herndon. I believe the parents of this family to be Crit Noel and Nancy Jane Lee, but this is not confirmed. I believe Crit died in Gallatin County. Later generations lived in both Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
I found a Calvin Noel in a census that did not list relationships. Calvin was born about 1749, a female just 23 yrs old (his daughter?), a John, 3 yrs old, and Crittenden, 1 yr old. Is anyone familar with this family? Thanks, George Baldwin
