I am searching for information on my gg grandfather, Barney LANE b: 1818 in KY, possibly Barren Co., KY. Both of his parents died when Barney was 1 to 2yrs old leaving him as orphan. He was raised by a family member Col. WEST, who took him to TN, Possibly Smith Co. or Weakley Co. I do not know anything else about Col. WEST. Barney married Mary Jane Obedience CROSTIC the daughter of Sherrod CROSTIC. They are on the 1850 census in Weakly Co., TN. They moved to Fulton Co.,KY by 1870. Any info on them is greatly appreciated. Here is the 1870 census:

John - 10 yrs, male, Tennessee
Gideon - 3 yrs, male, Kentucky
