Information about a Darnall/Watson Feud

My family left McNairy Co TN shortly after the 1850 Census and shows up on the 1860 census for Pemiscot Co MO. My gr grandfather, John William, told that he remembers riding behind his father (Joseph) on a horse while coming to Missouri from Kentucky. Some of the family info shows up in data from Obion Co TN in the 1850's and there is a reference to the Darnall/Watson feud in the Corps of
Engineers publication "Historic Names and Places on the Lower Mississippi River" in 1977. Any info about the incident or families will be greatly appreciated.
