Seeking information on Aaron E.B. McWhirter, who lived in Fulton County from at least 1857 to sometime during the Civil War. He was married to Mary E. Hale, and had children David W., Lorenzo Dow and Hubbard Gillespie. He was not listed in the tax records for the Civil War years, and Mary appeared in the tax records in 1867. It is assumed that he was killed during the war.
In 1870, Mary was in Franklin County, AR, with her children, married to a William Corley. Therefore, she left Fulton County between 1867 and 1870, either before or after marrying William Corley.
