Kentucky State Reformatory Information 1930-Reynolds

I am hoping someone can tell me how to get information on an inmate of the KY State Reformatory. My great aunt's husband was there in 1930. I found his name on the census for 1930. Can someone do a lookup of the records?
His name was Earl Reynolds and he was there on April 7, 1930 for sure. He was 25 years old. He left a young wife with 3 kids to move back in with her parents. She was 20 in 1930.
I just want to know more about what happened. I have not been able to find his death record either. His name was Earl Thomas Reynolds. I would like to have their marriage record too. It says he was 21 when married so that means probably in 1926. But, I don't know what county it was in.
