Hello all,
I was wondering if there are any other descendents of My great grandfather, Dr. John Fleming Rodgers out there who may be related to me distantly and might be able to help me. My g.g.grandparents, who were born in Virginia, migrated to Kentucky. But I do not know there names. I wish I did. Their son, Dr. John Fleming Rodgers (1830-1902) was born in Bourbon County accordign to his obituary. As a grown man he moved around a bit, living at times in Anderson, Franklin and Woodford County. I was just wondering if there are any descendents or relatives of Dr. John Fleming Rodgers of Kentucky out there?!? I was also wondering if anyone knew who Dr. John Fleming Rodgers' parents were? They were born in Virginia and migrated to Kentucky. Dr. Rodgers was born in Bourbon County, Ky. April 12, 1830, married first Margaret E. Pattie on DEc. 22, 1853 in Frankfurt, Franklin Co., Ky.. They lived for a time in Anderson and Frankfurt. He rode off to war in The War for Southern Independence as the Surgeon of the 11th Ky.(U.S.) Cavalry. His kids that I know of by this first wife were Mary Jane Rodgers, b. Ky 1856 (mar'd a Mr. Gge. P. Smith), Almirea "Allie" Vaughn Rodgers, b. Ky. in 1865, and Fannie Thomas Rodgers, b. Ky in 1869 or '70 (mar'd a Mr. Greenwood). These girls went to Texas later I heard.

Then sometime between 1870 and 1880 Sarah Isabel Williams, known as Sallie Belle or just "Belle", and affectionately by the family as "Ma Belle". Dr. Rodgers and Belle lived the last 28 yrs or so of his life around Versailles, mainly in the Clifton district, Woodford County, Ky.. He is buried in the Versailles Cemetery in downtown Versailles. He and Belle had three kids, Leona "Lea" Rodgers, b. 1882 in Clifton, Woodford Co., Ky ? (Mar'd Oscar Keith Hawkins), Emma Rodgers, B. 1884 in Clifton, Woodford Co., Ky (mar'd Thom. O. Blackerby), and Lester Samuel Rodgers, B. 1887 in Decatur Co., Indiana while parents were there visiting or on business (mar'd Maude White in Alabama [my grandparents]).
Any info or help would be appreciated.
