I am trying to find a death date/location for my GG-grandfather, Adenstone ROGERS, b. 1803, Kyles Ford, TN., and his son, George W. Rogers, my G-grandfather. Adenstone moved to Lincoln Co (Franklin Co?) with his two grown sons and their wives, as well as his own 2nd wife, Mary "Polly" BAKER and his 2nd family, by Polly. Adenstone is found in the Lincoln Co. Census in 1860, but I cannot find him anywhere after that. His son, George W. ROGERS, b. 1824, Lee Co., VA, my G-grandfather, and George's wife, Susannah BAKER, b. 1822, Hawkins Co., TN, were found in the same Census same year. Also, George's brother, Commodore Rogers, b. ca. 1829, and his wife, Mary Ann GRIMES and their family. Later, George and family are found in 1860 in the Franklin Co. Census and in 1870 in the Pulaski Co. Census, Glades District. (Is it possible that they did not move and that the county lines changed during those ten years?) In 1880, I can no longer find George, but Susan is living with one of their sons, Alfred M. Rogers and his wife in Boyle County. Any help appreciated in trying to solve the mystery of where the men in my family disappeared to! Pat Marcum
