James Nelson Hale 1880, (father of James 1919) is the son of Jacob Hale and Polly Ann Miller. James Nelson Hale 1880 and Wesley Hale are brothers. Florence is the daughter of Wesley. The fire part confuses me because I have a 1928 court docket for the trial and murder of James Nelson Hale b: 1880. It states that James Nelson Hale (1880) was murdered in 1928. Which would explain why James jr was raised by your in-laws. His mother Hayley according to my records died in 1923. That would have left him an orphan. By the way their are 3 James Nelson Hale(s) that I am aware of... You may be aware of them too. The one not mentioned was born in 1834 to the parents of James Hale and Jane Sanders. I have been searching for 4 years trying to track down the 1880 James Nelson Hale(s) wife Hayley Kennedy's parents and siblings. The woman appears not to exist outside her marriage to James and their children. It's driving me to obsession. James Nelson Hale b: 1880 is my great-grandfather. His daugher Frances "Frankie" Hale is my grandmother. Don't cha just love family history. If it isn't too personal? Which son of Hampton and Florence were or are you married to?
