Iím looking for any additional information for this Taylor family. James W. Taylor may be related to Col James Taylor of Va. and President Zachary Taylor. I believe this because the First lady Margaret "Peggy" Mackall Smith was introduced to Zachary Taylor by a Dr. Alexander Duke, an old Smith family friend, also originally of Calvert County, Maryland. See Also in the 1850 US Census KY Mason 2-Dist p 79-80 Household 323 the James W. Taylor family was living in the Alexander Duke MD household.
