Pullin, Pullen, Pulliam Family Fayette, Scott and Woodford Counties early 1800s

I am trying to find information on the Pullen family of Fayette County. My 5th great grandfather, Youel B. Pullen (Yowell, Yuel, Yonel, Gonel) married 8 Jan 1818 in Fayette Co. to Artimesha Ann Hammon(d). Youel listed his birth as being in 1797 in Virginia. His wife was born in 1794 also in Virginia.

Youel was living in Georgetown, Scott, KY in 1820. By 1830, he was living in Woodford County, Kentucky. In the mid 1830s, he patented land in Hendricks County, Indiana, and was listed as living in Scott County, KY. By 1837, he and his brother, Fountain Pullen, sold an acre of land in Crawfordsville, Montgomery County, Indiana, to the county to build a school. Youel was a baker (confectioner) and in the 1840s served ice cream with brandy in it.

I would really like to find out who his parents are. I would think that having an unusual first name like Youel would make it easier to find information, but it seems he just appeared when he got married.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
