I am stil seeking information on the parents of
Benjamin R. Mitchell (full information
on this family below). The parents could be
Father: Benjamin Mitchell (Abt 1794 -- ?)
Mother: Lucy Rumsey (Abt 1798 -- ?)
Both of Fayette, Kentucky. Know anything about
this pair? Kentucky marriages to 1850 says they
were married 4 Feb 1819. But on 16 June 2004, the
Fayette County Clerk wrote that there is
"no record in Fayette County" of this marriage.

Fayette County KY Marriage license book 2, page 78-c states
that the license was issued on 7 Dec 1847 (her name is
spelled Tymandry). They were married by R. Dillard on Dec
9 1847 [record actually says 1848], returned 1 Feb 1848.

Benjamin R. Mitchell, to Tymandry Chrisman, with John H.
Darnaby as surety. December 7, 1847.
